WW1 Pair to Royal Fusilier Private

    Good day

I have just acquired the Victory and British War Medals for this gentlemen.

I note from the medal roll that there was an application bon behalf of his daughter to receive his medals in 1925. In the Remarks box on the front page it says D/W 27-1-18. Does this mean died of wounds on that date?

Any idea what the rest of the annotations mean?

    Many thanks for any comments

    James

I believe the rest of the cryptic marks on the card are internal numbers - file numbers and such like - for the people keeping the records and issuing the medals. I'd be glad to be wrong, however, especially if they convey more info. about the recipient, but I don't think so.
