Hi just like to show this nice find today at a flea market .This small group came together the air pics are quite nice showing gliders in fields .can anybody tell me what the cloth insignia are please cheers Paul .

It looks like a British formation sign - possibly a brigade sign, as it doesn't appear in my one source on British WWII badges as a divisional sign. Perhaps a brigade of the 46th [North Midlands] Infantry Division, whose sign was a green tree.
Post it on the British Military Badge Forum in the "Mystery" forum. Someone there is sure to know.

Are the pics definitely Normandy? The money/map pouch contained French Francs and Italian Lira and is more likely to be issued to flyers operating from Italy/CMF
