            Parliament souivenirs from rubble

I have recently inherited a pair of stone bookends and a matching letter holder. They are all made from the stone of the bomb damaged Parliament buildings and have cast metal plaques attached. These were owned by my Grandparetns who lived in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.

              very interesting.

there was a lady on tv a few weeks ago selling a large block from Houses of Parliament. yours is much nicer though

(i believe they were all originally sold at auction for charity )

Please post photos of your blitz souvenirs. I'd love to see more from collections.

The Churchill tobacco jar is very heavy, at 7 1/2 kg's. It contains a nice procelian jar inside.
