Commando Knife ?

I found this in an old house I was working on, not sure if it is genuine or just a piece of junk. I'am guessing it is the latter.

Handle looks like a commando knife, blade is too broad so some sort of replacement. Scabbard is not correct but has been made to fit the blade

Thanks James for your reply the blade did look wide in comparison to other commando knifes i have seen.
