    5th Super heavy R.A Tankard

    Found this today,

Inscription reads "5th super heavy battery"
    R.A
    section sports trophy
    1941. right section
    1942.right section
    1943. HQ section

Any information on this battery would be cool, I found some links that hint it may be connected to some of the over the channel guns? There's also a few makers marks, if anyone knows what they are it would be appreciated.

Indicates that the tankard holds 1 imperial quart and has a Victorian inspectors mark.

I can only assume that the lack of a 44 & 45 date was a result of the offensive in France...less sports tournaments after Normandy I guess.
