    British kitbag?

    Hello to all,

I don't often post here, but I need some help on following thing.

I have absolutly no idea what it is, but because I found it together with some other british ww2 fieldgear, I thought it could be well british too. It has a faint date-stamp ( not noticable on the pictures) just under the flap (1938).

Any idea what this could be? If british, shouldn't there be a WD marking as well?

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Cheers

    Jan

I don't think this is a British issue kit bag, or 'sausage' bag as we called them.

The design basically didn't change over decades to this day (no one use's them though)

Perhaps the more informed will reply, but I really don't think this is Brit ?

        Kind regards,

        Marcus

Like Marcus, I don't think this is a personal piece of kit. Don't think Army, definitely not Navy as they were bigger and differently constructed. Might possibly be for equipment stowage.

Marcus and Jim, thanks so far for the replies...

Marcus, so you think it could be some kind of tent-bag? It's dated 38.
Maybe french? It's definatly not belgian, neither US or german.

              Cheers
