Looks like it could be Canadian as well. I have images of artillery units with similar helmet signs. I cant find this one exactly but some are almost identical.

I thought Canadian also, has someone cleaned that side, looks a bit odd, where did you get it? could do with seeing some daylight shots, what make is the shell/liner and date please, any chinstrap markings, just noticed the chinstrap does not look canadian

It seems to me to be a helmet flash in the colours of the QA.I.M.N.S.RESERVE,
(= Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service Reserve).
The ribbon on their nursing medal has got the same colours.


Although they had helmets issued, I don't know if they had flashes like this one, as I'm missing documentation on this matter.
