Canadian 1942 dated Dispatch Rider Over-Trousers?

Unsure if these 1942 dated Canadian rubberized over-trousers are Dispatch Rider, Navy or something else. Can't say I have seen another pair. Advice/comment appreciated.

they are pretty interesting, same maker you see sometimes in the Gas suit hoods, but thats just a rubber company I believe, interested to hear what others say

They look very like the rubber suits our fishermen wear, so my guess would by navy rather than army. Also, rubber isn't likely strong enough to withstand the wear and tear on a motorcycle.

          My two cents worth

            Finally some trousers!
I've got the matching jacket in the collection for years.., and have had the matching southwester cap (but sold that years ago).
Unknown if it's army or navy, but suspect the latter.

Many thanks for the comments. I believe that when I bought them they were sold as Dispatch Rider over-trousers, but I have never found any information to confirm. They would be strong enough for this purpose as they are rubberized canvas and would not wear as rubber only would. Equally so, they could be Navy. One of those things a good period photograph could prove one way or the other. Regards, Clive.
