Water bucket perhaps?

Hi Folks,

I have come across two of these items. They appear to be collapsible water buckets. Having said that they are not something I seen before so may be incorrect. As best I can tell the wording says Acme ? ? 43

Perhaps they are US?

They are about a foot in length and 8 inches across although I have not measured them yet.

Anyone able to assist me with these. Thanks.

I've been advised it's a US Army water bucket.
