HI just got these and inside they are marked as `K` BOOTS they have the broad arrow mark to the sole so they are issue ?

What does the K mean if anything please ? is the a code or just a makers name ? many thanks

I have my Dad's pair of officer's brown boots dated 1945 and they are not marked that way. I suspect that it is a manufacturer's name.

      Hi,

Officers boots are mainly private purchases and not necessarily received the C /I\ broad arrow stamp. In this case K is not a military code & K boot's is the maker name (British manufacturer)

      Hope it helps,
      Best
