Hello i once posted this firefighter helmet http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=631573 in the US militaria sub-forum, since at first i think the m1 helmet suspension system in this helmet meant this helmet is an american made but i guess i'm wrong. After researching including asking the forum about US militaria, they said this isn't an american made helmet. Later i got information that this helmet shell is similar with french m39 marine helmet http://nuke.combat-helmets.com/World...7/Default.aspx , but the french firefighter forum said maybe my firefighter helmet is a british made helmet. Later when searching additional information about the same mysterious firefighter helmet in the biak museum papua (that helmet is the same with mine), i finally found this image
The paint of that mysterious helmet is blue like my helmet. After i read the history, the papua theater of operation were joined by US military but also australia. So is there any australian military collector in here who knew this helmet is?
