    Post ww1 (not sure of the date when this pattern was introduced after WW1 untill 2007 when the Regiment merged and the name disapeared. This one looks like a fairly recent one.

        Ron,
        This badge is the post-1922 "old fashioned" brass and white metal version, not the more recent "staybrite" badge, so I would think it could be of WWII vintage.
        It's obviously been polished. Hard to date a badge that does not have a sovereign's crown as part of the design, but this version was worn from 1922 until the Cheshire Regiment was amalgamated in the late 90's.
