As part of the DCM Trio Grouping for Alfred, there was a Territorial Force Efficiency Medal that was awarded to his father Joseph E. Wagstaffe. The Medal Index Card WO372/24 Territorial Force Efficiency Medal shows that Alfred’s father Corporal J.E.Wagstaffe of 6th Battalion Cheshire Regiment had served 20 years in the Territorial Army.
