Boyd Helmet Arnhem Headgear As Promised

It's been awhile but I have finally been able to open some boxes.
Here's the parahelmet that belonged to Pte. John Boyd of the 156th Parachute Bn. He has been MIA since Sept.18th 1944 and was presumed killed on the day he landed. The helmet was found on the Dreyenseweg, Oosterbeek.

Red beret belonging to (most probably) a wounded 2/Para officer. Beret was given to a civilian during the fighting around the bridge in Arnhem.

Never had any metal insignia, might have had removed cloth insignia.

Well worth the wait Ben! Beautiful items.

Was the yellow celanese recognition "scarf" found with the helmet too, as I noticed it tucked inside the liner?

                            Cheers, Ade.

PS. Will you make it to Detling this weekend?

Phantastic stuff, Ben, and great provenance!

You might have heard this many times: If you ever get bored with one of these ...etc.
