Gallipoli Artifact found

This is a very nice little peice. It seems that it was awarded to H. Thacker of the R.A.M.C (Royal Army Medical Corps) It is made to be an ashtray for the recipient. The inscription is stamped into the metal. I'll let you read it. Very interesting, well to me anyway .

Had a quick look at Soldiers Died - no Thackers listed for RAMC, tho' 5 H. Thackers are listed for other units & 2 in Officers Died. Have'nt checked CWGC site tho'.
