Can anyone recommend any general reference materials for WWII Canadian uniforms, equipment, orders and decorations?

John, I can't vouch for any of the books on this website as I haven't read them - but the dealer is quite reputable so you needn't worry there. If you click on the "catalogue" link then you should see "Books on Canadian Militaria" in the Books by Subject section. There's one there entitled "The Canadian Soldier" by Jean Bouchery (listed at USD $35.00) that may be of interest.
