    Australian Bomber crew honored after 60 years

    Some time ago in Brandenburg were found a crashed Lancaster. Now, 60 years after their Lancaster crashed over Germany the crew was honored by a small memorial.
    Here are some interesting pics from the ceremony.

                  Hats off to whoever did the research and convinced the right Commission to put this memorial in place. It takes a lot of dedicated detective work. (Was that you, Daniel?)
                  I'm sure the family members were pleased.

                        Thanks for Your nice words.
                        It was not done by me I´m a simple master sergeant in the S3 branch but it happened in our Area of responsibility in Brandenburg.
                        We have a lot to do with the heritage of WW2. Mostly not exploded bombs around Berlin but sometimes also something exciting like this. I do also some work for the German war grave commission and it is always good after so many yeard to honor the old soldiers and help their families.
