8 Ft. Long Leather Belts, War Dated

These 2 leather belts are each 8 feet long and are factory stamped. "F.LTD. 1942 (Broadhead). " Also "100 (Broadhead)." Good stitching, brass buckle and high quality strong thick leather.
Does anyone know what are they for?

A fellow collector has one dated 1939, just saw it yesterday,and he thinks either horse tack or for Logistics Service Corps use for strapping down loads, but is unsure.
