Boer war 1895 British MKIV water canteen, 1st Volunteer battalion Welsh Regiment

Picked this up today in Carmarthenshire, a British MKIV water canteen, introduced in 1895. It is missing it's cover and the chain to stop the stopper from being lost, but otherwise is in good condition for it's age. Nicely unit marked on the strap, Ico. Ist VBWR 665, which I think is 1st company 1st Volunteer Battalion Welsh Regiment, who were a South & West Wales based regiment and who took part in the Boer war.

Unit and makers marks. Most of these are of dark blue enamel and examples of a grey colour are less commonly seen.
