British Officers Green Cloth Helmet Badge

I think this is Victorian circa? Made is solid brass 4" in diameter. Thought is was really cool!

A beautiful officer's home service helmet badge for the King's Shropshire Light Infantry, but not Victorian. With the King's crown, it's post 1902 to 1914, when full dress went away forever, save the Household Cavalry & Foot Guards.
Great to see with most of the gilding still nice & shiny.

Very nice Officer's helmet plate badge and also great to see that the original pins are still present to the rear holding it all together.

      Nice one!

I'm old enough ( !!) to remember when you could pick up the other ranks versions of these helmet plates for $10-15. A late friend of mine had a nice collection.
This plate really IS one that would be hard to upgrade; a real beauty.
