    Barnsley pals MM

    Hi Guys thought i would post this one up recently bought a new camera and wanted to show off some new pictures of one of my favourite MM's to E.C Morley 14-570 (York and Lancaster 14th battalion the 2nd Barnsley pals) Eric signed up at the outbreak of WW1 and was a colliery lamp cleaner from Darfield. He was reprimanded for breaking out of Collinwood camp after receiving his inoculations and reverted to his previous rank of Private, The 14th were heavily involved on the first morning of the Somme in support of the 13th Y&L (1st Barnsley pals) and 12th Y&L (Sheffield city battalion) MM Awarded at Darfield colliery and believed to be for actions around Oppy. Eric received a gun shot wound to his right thigh on the last day the 14th saw action and was demobilised as class z at wars end.

      Hi JB its the Nikkon D3100 and those two pictures were shot with the 35MM lens, Its a great camera but starting out with my first SLR has been a steep learning curve!
