As a collector of Royal Navy specialist units would just like to show my latest photo pic up .
Reverse states :
` No.6 Demolition Team December 1947 Krupps -Essen `
I presume this team was sent to the Krupps factory to blow away the reckage to clear away the area for rebuilding ?.
They are wearing RN battle dress an an interesting point is they wear the cloth formation sign for the Control commision Germany
The guy front row 2nd left has on what I think Is a German roll neck sweater and is of the two guys with no british insignia / or medal ribbons so he may well in fact be German ?
( the Royal Navy demolision / obstacle removal / mine clearance were very quick to solicit the help of local german experts in the imediate post war cleaning up years . )
please feel free to comment
