    British belt markings

    Hi,
Anyone knows these markings on a british M37 belt? no borad arrow, no typical british markings, only these numbers and letters.
I saw them also other times, but I don't know what are they..

    thank you for help!

I think everything is there, just very faded. It seems to be made by 'M.W. & S.' and I'd take a shot at the date of 1954, I'm sure I picked up one with very similar markings recently which was dated 1953 or 54. The bottom line A.A. marking is the code/stores reference for the item. A very good website on British equipment:

You can try wetting the area of the belt where the date is, that sometimes makes it more legible and doesn't do any long term damage once dried.
