Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own (Yorkshire Regt.)

In use until 1958, though a WW2 variant was made with a King's crown as opposed to the correct coronet.

              The Royal Scots Fusiliers

The old large glengarry badge, which continued to be worn as they alone amongst the Fusilier regts. continued to wear the glengarry. A lowland regt. they were amalgamated with the Highland Light Infantry to form the Royal Highland Fusiliers in 1959. They did not like it.

                    Hey Jim,
Very nice badges. With your theme, I have this Leeds Pals badge. But to be honest, I don't know if it is real or not--perhaps you know.
                    Here's the front.

Here's another interesting WW1 badge of mine. A Canadian Patricia Regt cap badge.

                            Hi Lee,

No idea on the Leeds Pals, the only 'Kitchener's Army' badges that I have are Middlesex Regt. Despite the vast quantities of men enlisted in these batallions the badges are quite difficult to come by and restrikes and fakes abound.

                            Jim.

Next up is the South Wales Borderers of Isandlwana andRorke's Drift fame. The old 24th Foot. The badge was worn until 1958, when it lost it's identity joining the Wesh Brigade.
