Crimea Medal and "The Thin Red Line"

Over on E-Bay last night item #2256746621 went for $275.00. I am no expert in this area but was it not the 93rd that formed this famous stand.

    Doug,
This medal was a no bar Crimea. The vendor didn't show the naming so a prospective buyer wouldn't know if it was immpressed, engraved or renamed. To achieve the premium a "thin red line" medal would have brought, anywhere from 350 to 1000 pounds depending on the style of naming (MYB estimates), the medal would have to have the appropriate bar/bars and the naming would have to be shown.

I agree. No clasp, fuzzy images and lack of photos. I saw this near the end and was tempted, glad I did nothing.
