    ww2 chaplins travel box?????

Would like your opinions on this travel case ive just picked up, closest i can come to is perhaps a chaplins travel case . I found two large cardboard pictures of british generals inside but forgot to take some picks. I belive its ww2 period, or could it possible ww1, english made with the usual made in england on the locks etc, all comments welcome. Pete.

It's from the mid-fifties, as is your steel commumion set box. wdmilitaria just sold one from WWII, you can still find it on their site:

I have a complete set from 1955, see my website.

Perhaps it is a good idea to sell it; they are much harder to find than the contents so someone out there must be looking for one. I'm sure a random suitcase is easy to fin.
