Help Please with this British? Uniform Coat

The buttons are marked "Superior Quality" on the back which according to Wikipedia indicates either a US or British made button. With US buttons rarely being in silver, I thought a UK collector might recognize it as something military or police.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Buttons look heraldic ( footmans buttons or something similar) . I dont think its military related . Rob
