Fine medals . You need to get outside and take the photos in natural light or really bright indoor light , not really that possible to value as medal collectors tend to collect certain regiments , I am sure the Land Transport Corps does not come high on the desirability list , Gurkah medals the same . However of course they all have a good value , if he wants to trade them then what does he collect ? if he wants to swap them for an Infantry assault badge then let him know my details , if he wants a Chained SS dagger then I think not . The very best thing to do if they are surplus to requirements is to whack them on ebay . Rob

      Victorian Campaign Medals

      Thanks ROBB,

Will pass on the info. Yes the pics have been a bit of a challenge, still playing with the camera.

      Cheers

Agree with you on the value of medals to the Land Transport Corps, but not to the Gurkhas. Their medals are definitely VERY collectable, especially given their service in the old Indian Army, and that they still exist, albeit in much reduced form, at least in the British Army.
A legacy of valor and loyalty from the Indian Mutiny to today is not to be tossed off so lightly.
