Help Identifying Badge

Hi Everyone,

Could anyone tell me what this badge was for? I know it's pre-1952 but can't find anything else out about it.

I know that the RAF, betwen the wars, locally recruited at least one unit for airfield defence, the work now done by the RAF Regiment. In Persia [Iraq] it was composed of local Christians who, in a mid-1930s training exercise, beat the stuffing out of a far larger Muslim force. Sorry, all the details I can recall - from John Masters' autobiography Bugles and a Tiger.

Perhaps this is a similar unit, the _ _ _ Corps? Locally sand cast badge would account for the quality and it seems an odd thing to fake.
