Lt. General Sir Douglas Brownrigg Items

Thought I would show some items I got as a kid back in the 70's in London from a friend who kept the uniform. He wanted my darkroom equipment but would only give me this.

Till this day I haven't really researched him.

I did a little research on Brownrigg. Wellesley Douglas Studholme Brownrigg ( that's a name for ya!) is shown in Hart's 1909 Army List as a lieut, Sherwood Forresters since 1907, commissioned as a 2nd lieut. in 1905.
The 1938 Army List shows him as Lt. Gen., military secretary to the Secretary of State for War. In 1939-1940, he was adjutant general for the BEF. It doesn't appear that he held any important front line posts in WWII. Was awarded at least the CB & DSO.
Assuming he was born around 1885 or so, he was likely age 60 at war's end, at perhaps viewed as a bit long in the tooth by then. Who knows?
