    British-made dressing for yugoslav army

    Gentlemen,

not sure if this is the right place for this. Please have a look at these small wound dressings I found last weekend. Instructions are in Servo-Kroat, but maker is a well-known British producer of medical items. The question is: pre-war (so Royal Yugoslav Army) or post-war (unlikely?). Did the British government do business with a communist country during the early stages of the Cold War? These dressings look pre-war to me, but hopefully some experts will shine their light on this question. Seller buys his stuff in Greece, he told me.

    Greetings,

    Lucius

        Can everybody see the pictures?

Would be nice to know more about these items...

Or should I try another forum/subforum?

        Thanks in advance,

        Lucius

            .

Well during WW2 there was alot of equipment dropped in or delivered by other means and post war some went to Greece. One example of that is all the British Enfields for example that were delievered but the Partisans did not like them, preferring the K98 or Italian Rifles. I have been told most of these Enfields ended up in Greece after 1945. Also, Tito was planning to take a jab at taking Greece into Yugoslavia as well apparently so there are many ways kit from the Croatia-Bosnia area at least may have ended up in Greece the same way alot of British and German Kit from WW2 in Yugo also ended up in Palestine as "war aid" or to support Political agendas. There was a time in the 50s when the west, at least the USA, did support Yugo when Tito was breaking ties with Russia, that is why there are alot of Sherman Tanks and Field Guns that were still present and used 91-95 as well, sadly many of the same Guns and Tanks you see in movies. I have no knowledge of any pre war dealing in Military terms.
