WW2 British Body Armor

Does anybody know the value of WW2 British body armor? A friend of mine has been offered a set dated 1943 in excellent condition and I had never seen any for sale before. thanks

I saw one go for over 500€ some 5y ago on e-bay so they are expensive and rare.
Dont know about todays prices...
Watch out for post war Belgian ones (ABL stamped)

Can't proof it from a photo...but ALARM BELLS are RINGING!

I don't like :
- the colour
- the stamps
- the rivits

My advise : CAUTION! It looks like a reproduction, but I might be mistaken.

Looks like a Belgian converted specimen.

The colour suggests it is a Belgium example. Much rarer than the British, but worth only a fraction.

There is an a rather long article about these in MILITARIA Magazine I think I still have it . I will have a look , but those stamps look awfull . Ron
