Hi all, I picked this beret and tag up recently named to the same man and would like to know from what period its from? moth grazing in areas, non vented and has a ribbed sweatband and no markings present.

Nice grouping but i think that the beret is a post-war specimen the lining has a reenforcement piece of cloth made for the badge probably manufactured by a private tailor if i look at the rim.

The hesian reinforcement runs the circumference of the inner cap, I have been thinking myself wether this could be a privately tailored cap for an officer!!
