RAF DFC tunic

Here's a nice ebay find, named to Michael Clifford Foster.

Posted July 1943 to 51 Squadron flying Halifaxes. Then to newly formed 578 Squadron in January 1944. Awarded DFC 14 March 1944.

Post war, Mr Foster was a teacher and passed away in February 2000.

The tunic was tailored in October 1943 by A. Cheer & Sons.

The shirt is one I used to wear to work and the tie was found in a local charity shop.
