    WW1 Paperwork at the Carboot

I was lucky enough to pick up some interesting WW1 paperwork at my local carboot today, I've attached a picture of the finds, one item was a Message to "advance to the FRONT LINE", giving map references and a date, with a little work on the computor, I think I've worked out where it was.

    Close up of the message.
I've goggled the date (23/4/1917) and there was fighting/front line activity in the area of the "Orders to advance to the Front Line" position, and it would appear to be from the 1917 Battle of Arras, see the links to two maps.

British Map No 51, see reference H29 and H23 (railway), zoom in to H29/23

and the map of the Battle of Arras April 1917, zoom in and compare to the above grid reference.

Amazing. Had it not been for a car-boot sale, maybe these documents would have been binned?
