Canadian Merchant Navy badge - info needed!

Hello
Can somebody provide any information, useful links, etc concerning WW II Canadian Merchant Navy badge?

Who established, when, requirements for award, etc.

Any help welcomed!

Well there was never an award or badge for being in or serving with the Canadian merchant navy in WWII.

For the war medal they need 28days at sea in a war area (anywhere but the great lakes) and They might of been eligible for one of the Starts but I think that is a relativity resent event.



I know they had a pin they wore when ashore but that was just to show they where doing their bit for the cause.

They do have a cap-badge.
