Identification and thoughts needed on Mk I helmet.

Hi There,

Straight out of the woodwork :
I wonder if anyone can give a ID on the "reddish" flash painted on this nicely 1939 dated helmet.
It is been fond in a shed today and given to me. Maybe of any interest, I'm living in Nieuwpoort (Belgium) so there is a fair chance that the helmet is taken at the fighting in may 1940.
Any help is much appreciated.

Coldstream Guards? Do you have a picture of the CG.

Not much to find about the CG flash, but I fond this. Pitty it is not a war time picture. Still not sure about it, but it is very similar.
