    Opinions needed on revolver.

I have seen this item and would welcome advice and opinions on it, as I have very little knowledge of firearms. I attach some pictures.
    Thanks,
    Peter.

I am told that it is masrked with the broad arrow mark, and that, though it is deactivated, the chambers can still be loaded.
      Thanks,
      Peter.

This model was issued to tank crews. It was a double-action .38 Calibre and was produced from the mid '20s to 1957. It was still in use in 1965 when it was superceded by the Browning 9mm. It's a pity that it cannot be fired, I saw one of these at a flea market in Mt Dora, Florida a couple of months ago going for $300.

According to Ian Skennerton when these were converted from DA MKI to SA MkI* the wooden grips were replaced by plastic examples.

            Thanks Dave and Luc.
What kind of value would you put on it knowing that it has been deactivated?
            Thanks,
            Peter.

No idea Peter, I don't collect this stuff as I don't have a permit. I'm sure a good old google search will give you an approximate value?

The hammer is removed to stop it snagging during movement around the confines of the vehicle and causing a negligent discharge.

Thanks Luc. I have seen a few prices, which gives me some idea, but some of the internet prices can be a bit high.
                  Thanks,
                  Peter.
