    RAF patch

I'm not at all familiar with this patch. It is about 3" in diameter and constructed in the fashion of patches from the late 40's through the 50's any help appreciated.

Unofficial patch. Possibly done for the blokes on the balloons at Netheravon & Weston-on-the-Green (both now defunct). The balloons were used to haul up trainee 'crows' for their first basket jump (unnerving, believe me - rather like a bungee jump), but they now use Skyvans. I'd say this is late '70s-'80s.
