    RAMC Shoulder Titles Variations?

Hi, I was hoping one of you out there could help. I have seen the Royal Army Medical Corps shoulder titles that are White Letters on Red background not the usual Maroon. Are these W.W.II Period variations? They are also shown in THe book The British Soldier by Jean Bouchery Volume One. White RAMC on Red background.

The white on red colours have not been authorised for wear by the R.A.M.C.

Hi, So they are not authorised but were they still worn regardless during W.W.II?

It just looks white on red, some cameras (like my Canon A650) have great difficulty in capturing red colours properly.

Hi, I believe its possible for some of the pictures of the titles to be off in color but I have seen the actual title in these colors .So are they unauthorised titles that were worn during the War?

There was a batch of fake titles made up to various corps. I have seen white on red titles to RA, RE and RAMC, if you have seen these on the web/ebay then they are most likely fake. Most RAMC are white on maroon, but the backing colour can vary slightly and also well used ones can fade a bit.
