    Hi All
    These may be too old for this forum but worth a try.
    The straps are woven silver wire. I would guess Victorian but that's my input !!!

      Volunteers if it is silver lace.

      From 1855 to 1872 the Full Dress waist belt of an Officer in the Royal Regiment of Artillery, consisted of a single piece of blue Morocco leather covered in 1 inch wide Regimental gold lace, fitted with one long and one short sling without swivels and three slings for the Sabretache when required, it was fastened by two plates bearing the Royal Crest joined by a snake hook inscribed UBIQUE (not always). Between 1872 and 1939 the Royal Artillery belt was 1½ inches wide, this size was adopted by the whole Regiment in 1902 until it was abolished in 1914, since circa 1900 the Lions face inwards.
      The Sword Slings are made of blue Morocco leather covered in 1 inch wide Regimental gold lace and are 17½ inches long for the front (short) sling and 25½ inches long for the rear (long) sling, both have a Lions head buckle
