WW2 British Brigadier General Peaked Visor Cap

    Original WW2 or Fake?

    #2
Cap looks OK to me; the "real roan leather" stamp on the sweatband is on a number of my British officer caps.
I searched my 1938 & 1952 Army Lists, and in 1952, there is listed a Capt. Gullick in the Royal Artillery, Territorial Army, with a promotion date of 1949.
No Gullick in the 1938 Army List, so, unless he was promoted to temporary brigadier, or colonel's rank in WWII, the cap may have had the insignia attached to decieve.
