Tommy "Desert Rat" helmet

This is another item I picked up at the flea market. Looks like a British "desert rat" helmet to me. Is it?

Depends if it's British or Canadian, if it's British it might be, or used somewhere in the Med', like Italy.

Whats the diff between brit and can helmets?? No markings I can see in this one...

Is there a stamp in the metal inside the helmet near the rim? That will indicate teh maker.

Most of the time, the stamp is near the strap mounting lugs.

it could even be from the arab / israeli war 1948 - 1950's era

both sides wore British tommy helmets
