    Canadian MKII Combat Helmet

    Guys,

    looking for an aprox. value on this (named, "W" is the vets initial) Canadian MKII Combat Helmet?

      I question the originality of the painted W.

        What you have is a civil defence Wardens helmet, the W indicates that.
        The shell was made by general Steel Wares. It is a milder grade of steel than the combat helmets. The DP&H stands for the Department of Pensions and Health, the only helmets they purchased were the milder grade ones for Civil Defence.
        I also don't like the W on this one, is looks off centre and crooked(might be the camera angle). It doesn't look like something a Civil Defence Warden would have worn.
        As for value, I would be put it around $60-$70, the combat helmets go for more.
