I was lucky enough to win at an auction yesterday and heres what i came out with. BD tailored for an officer, 1942 dated, his cap , medals and some extrs insignia. From some time on the internet he appears to have been with the 14 army, 19 infantry, the mob who fought at Irrawaddy bridgehead at Kyaukmyaung. He i belive might also have been earlier attatched to the 20 mountain div who were later under the 19 infantry in Burma. Not much else known at the mo but i do hope you find these items interesting. Cheers for the info but im not much into research but i must admit im tempted to try and get some more on the unit etc, but eh i get bored very quickly and my hobby is collecting german combat lids. It is a very nice grouping and very hard to know exactly what some of these chaps from the corps did. If you can live and hold onto the group for 10 years the records will be available online. I imagine there will be many overjoyed people who will find out interesting things about groups such as this, as well as some not so overjoyed people!Comment
