Is there a chance it's Masonic or some other lodge medal?

It seems to indicate that Driver V. R Garside of the Army service Corps, serial number T-421794 earned a set of WWI medals for 5 years service during [and probably after] the war.

It is most likely an unofficial or semi-offical medal issued by the British legion or a similar ex-servicemen's group. It pretty sure it isn't an offical veteran's badge issued by the British government - they are quite a different design and badges, not medals,
