Zuckerman helmets galore

These helmets are as cheap as chips ,dont know why, but it suits me nicely . These helmets were used during the Second World War in Great Britain my many of the home front services .Rob

This one is Shelter Sanitation used by the man /woman in charge of the toilets and all round cleanliness and it eminated from Nottingham .

This one is from Scarsdale Brewery also from Nottingham ,it has a picture of a church with a twisting steeple in between the letters FG fire guards .

This one is from Markham & Co also from Nottingham and also FG for fire guard ,these persons would keep a look out for incendiaries (of which there were many) and put them out .

This one in white is for a very senior FG fire guard ,it even has an army chinstrap which is very posh ,usually a piece of string or ribbon was used .

This one is very nice indeed black with the sought after RP/G symbol on the front for repair party gas ,these chaps would rush out and fix the broken gas pipes quite often whilst the bombing was still going on ,most of these helmets are dated 1941 ,Well I hope you enjoyed my little show ,any questions or comments are welcome .Rob

Very nice helmets Rob

It is a shame that these helmets are often overlooked and often underrated

I think they make a whole collecting area themselves

Grab them quick before the price rockets

Very interesting & nice helmets ; I wonder if that many people really know them on the continent... They are rare here, but in the south, we're far away from england !
