When did the British start & end using PLASTIC with with Metal Tabs for attachment on their Hat/Cap Badges?

In 1941, an Army Council Instruction (ACI) announced that certain cap badges would be made of plastic because of war economy and metal shortage.

HI good evening , there are photos of british troops waering these economy type badges in Korea in 1951 , this may ? ? / have been for tactical reasons ie: subdued badges rather than a deliberate issue to use up old stocks ,the latest date I confirm is summer 1951 but strongly think they may have continued a good while after that , regards ,George

What a new! I'm interested in these pictures: I work on an article about the british army in Korea and still keen on new pictures. I've many pictures from the 27th, 29th Bdes and Commonwealth Division but I could not observe plastic cap badges. What unit worn these badges? I think it could be an issue to use old stocks rather than for camo.
I'll be grateful if you could publish these pictures.
