    Canadian or Brit Chaplin Badge?

I picked this up today, I noted it was interesting and had the kings crown, price was right so I grabbed it. Did some brief research and found out its for a Chaplin. I dont know if its Cdn or British as I assume both would be similar?

The badge looks identical to the one I found in my WW2 Canadian insignia book but without this star cluster thing, was it added later? or??

    Thanx

Im now leaning towards it being British in origin because of the star cluster...anyone?

It is not related to British or Commonwealth chaplaincy, confirmed in 2008 by a retired army chaplain on the British badge forum.
It is often described as Masonic, however I'm leaning towards a complete fantasy badge. They all seem of Australian (Agnew) manufacture.
An identical one was sold on ebay a while back which was worn by actress Lana Turner as a movie prop.

Thanx for the input. Ive looked up the badge in the center and its identical to the one shown in my book on WW2 Canadian Insignia? Maybe I will separate the 2 and see what we have...
