British Africa Star with North-Africa clasp question...

The medal to me looks to be a period piece, but I'm not sure about the clasp.

What has me wondering is that I usually see the blue stripe of the ribbon on the left side where as mine is on the right side. Does anyone know the regulations on these?

    Thank you

Ribbon is on backwards, thats all.

        Order of service.

        Dark Blue, Navy.
        Red, Army.
        Light Blue, Air force.

Have seen it before with other ribbons and medals.

        GG.

          Regulation

Seems a little strange to me.
If a person would have worn this and was still in the service they would have had a strip torn off them. If they wore it to Remembrance ceremonies someone would have mentioned it also.

Is the clasp from the factory or attached by the individual it was awarded to?

          Thanks for the replies.

ive seen a few vets on tv unfortunately wearing the wrong ribbons on their medals, so i think its quite a common mistake.

i believe clasp's were issued with medals, all individually the postal box - so the recipitant would have to attach them (following the instructions on the award slip)

can we see a close up of the clasp please

              Agreed.

That's a good enough answer for me.
Here is a close up of the clasp.

              Thanks
